Oil-Infused Smoothies Class

Oil-Infused Smoothies Class

Have you thought about adding your Young Living Vitality essential oils to your smoothies before?  They can make some REALLY tasty additions!!  My favorites essential oils to add to smoothies are Orange Vitality, Tangerine Vitality, Peppermint Vitality, and Nutmeg Vitality.

Below is a recording of the recent Facebook Live video I did for my team, the recipes and tips are below the video!

Tips:

  • If you are concerned about citrus oils in plastic (even though they are highly diluted when mixed in a smoothie), add your Vitality oils to your glass AFTER blending.  Use a glass or stainless steel straw.
  • Use frozen fruits and veggies, and you can use less ice!
  • Pop produce that will go unused in your freezer, it’s perfect for your smoothies.

Spiced Banana Smoothie

Spiced Banana Smoothie

So I had just gotten some Nutmeg oil, and I read about putting it into a smoothie… Oh yum!!

So here is the recipe I used, and it was, oh my gosh, SO GOOD!

Spiced Banana Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 Banana
  • Balance Complete or other protein powder (Balance Complete is vanilla flavor!)
  • Some coconut cream, aka coconut butter or smooth ground coconut (you can skip this, it just gives it a richer texture)
  • Water or milk of choice
  • Ice
  • 1 drop of Young Living Nutmeg oil

Just blend and enjoy!!!  WOW!  This was such a TREAT for breakfast!!!

Healthy Copycat Shamrock Shake with Peppermint Oil!

With St. Patrick’s Day coming up, I recently saw this recipe for a copycat shamrock shake made with peppermint extract.  I thought… Certainly I can make this with peppermint essential oil!  Did you know you can consume most Young Living essential oils??!!  This makes them great to use in your recipes!

So Yummy!

We tried it with peppermint oil, and it is SO YUMMY!  My daughter has asked almost every day since we made it if we can make it again!

Healthy Copycat Shamrock Shake

We’ve made this a few times, and I’ve found that we’ve needed to adjust the amount of sweetener and peppermint according to the size of the avocado!  Smaller avocados require less sweetener and peppermint, and larger ones require more.  Just keep adding until it tastes yummy!

Healthy Copycat Shamrock Shake Recipe

shamrock shake ingredients

Here is our basic recipe (I forgot the vanilla in the picture, ha!):

1 can coconut milk (I like Natural Value brand… it is pure coconut milk with no gums/thickeners, and it is in a BPA-free can!)

1 avocado

2-3 tbsp raw honey or other sweetener (adjust to taste)

5-7 drops Young Living Peppermint essential oil (adjust to taste)

1 tsp vanilla

1+ cups ice

Directions: Blend in Vitamix or blender until blended!!

That’s it!!  So easy… I hope you enjoy it!  I’m sure we will be making this well beyond St. Patrick’s Day!!
